An architect student's dream, Prague’s cityscape is one of the few places whose vast medieval skyline will leave you without words.
Here, Travel News Blitz breaks down seven intriguing activities to fill your days during a getaway to the Czech Capital.
Staromestske Namesti
This iconic square, located smack bang in the middle of Prague’s old town, is known for its lively market and always bustling atmosphere.
Featuring an array of food and treat stalls, the market square is overlooked by a breathtaking 600-year-old astronomical clock tower.
PragueDolls
A small shop just off of Charles Bridge, if caught walking past with a football shirt on, the owner is sure to call you over.
Once inside, the tiny outlet is like a football fan’s fever dream. Thousands of Russian Dolls donning painted-on football kits cover every square foot of the store.
From big teams to small sides, the shop has it all. I even managed to grab a St Mirren set in the wonderful little hidden gem.
Pro Tip: Bring cash if you plan to visit and the owner will likely give you a small discount.
Prague Castle
The sprawling grounds of Prague Castle continue to serve as a key centre stone in the Czech Republic’s government circle, serving as the current residence of the country's Prime Minister, Peter Pavel.
A tour of the castle gives you incredible access to the still-in-use grounds.
From the old residence of esteemed writer Franz Kafka, to the incredible living quarters of Royal Families of old, and the historically significant St Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle gives an eye-opening look into the not-too-distant past.
